TYLER, Feb. 19, 2012--Tickets for Tyler Junior College’s spring musical, “Chicago”, are on sale now in the TJC Box Office.
 
All seats are $5. Tickets may be purchased at the TJC Box Office located in Wise Cultural Arts. Box office hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays. Reservations can be made by calling 903-510-2212.
 
The show runs 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 22-25, in Wise Auditorium on the TJC main campus.
 
Created by John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, the Prohibition-era musical opened on Broadway in 1972, with a wildly successful revival in 1996. The 2002 film adaption starring Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere, garnered six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
 
TJC’s production of “Chicago” is under the direction of Dr. David Crawford, with musical direction by Jeanie Oxler, orchestra direction by Heather Mensch, and choreography by Jennifer Bailey, Yayoi Jones and Shelby Anderson.
