'Good Golly Miss Dolly!' Tour planned by Senior Center in Palestine
PALESTINE, Feb. 10, 2012--Meals on Wheels, along with the Palestine Senior Center, is sponsoring a seven day, six night bus tour to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on April 21 to 27.
The focus of the trip will be Dolly Parton. One whole day will be devoted to Miss Dolly with a guided tour of her stomping grounds, where she was raised. The rest of the day will be spent at Dollywood's Festival of Nations.
Every year, in April, several countries from around the world are invited to appear at Dollywood. Singers, dancers, music, foods, and merchandise are featured from each country. There are also rides and shopping to be enjoyed. Other highlights of this tour will be Cirque de Chine at the Smoky Mountain Palace; tour with a step-on-guide of the Great Smoky Mountains Park; visit to the Titanic Museum; show at the Smith Family Theater; time in Gatlinburg; visit to the Aquarium of the Smokies; a show at the Smoky Mountain Opry; shopping at the Five Oaks Outlet Mall; and a stop at the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsborough, Alabama. This is the place where all unclaimed baggage and freight goes from the airlines. Cost per person with two in a room is $953, which includes all entry fees, transportation; 10 meals; lodging; baggage handling and most gratuities.
