TYLER, Feb. 6, 2012—On Sunday morning at 2:14 a.m., Tyler Police Officer Eddins was driving a Tyler Police patrol car northbound on South Broadway at the intersection of Front Street. 
 
According to the report, another driver, Danny Harper, 29, was driving a White Nissan Titan westbound on East Front.  Officer Eddins was proceeding through a Green Light when her patrol car was struck by the Nissan Titan driven by Harper. 
 
Harper was listed at fault for disregarding the red light.  Officer Eddins received apparent minor injuries during the crash. 
 
Through further investigation, Tyler Police learned that Danny Harper was intoxicated.  He was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More and booked into the Smith County Jail.
