The Officer reviewed the video footage from the store. From the video footage they learned that a white male and white female, driving a dark colored SUV parked near the victim’s car. The female noticed the victim’s car trunk was open as she walked by. According to the video the couple went inside the store and spoke with a tax preparation employee at a kiosk there. After a few minutes, the suspects walk out of the store, walk up to the victim’s vehicle and open the trunk completely. The male removed an item from the victim’s trunk and got into his SUV and left. A few minutes later the suspects return. The male suspect got out of the SUV and into the victim’s car and drove away.
The male suspect was wearing a white ball cap, blue jeans, orange shirt with white stripes, and a tan coat. The female was wearing blue jeans, a dark colored blouse and had shoulder length hair.
On January 22, Longview Officers located the stolen car during an unrelated investigation.
