RICHARDSON, Feb. 15, 2012--UT Tyler senior catcher Hayden Chick went 8-for-13 with a home run, three doubles and four RBIs over a 2-1 start to the season, including wins over Freed-Hardeman and Texas Lutheran, to be named the American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week.
 
Chick, a member of th ASC Preseason "16 to Watch in the East Division" list, also scored five runs, was hit by a pitch and had two, three-hit games.
 
The Patriots will host Arlington Baptist in a three-game series this weekend at Irwin Field, beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.
